Plush Possum Fur Hot Water Bottle Cover

Beautiful hand crafted possum fur hot water bottle covers. These are a luxury to cuddle up to on a cold winters night or rest over pain.

Luxurious, soft, doubled sided possum fur hot water bottle cover. Fully made from natural fibre, no zips, velcro or buttons. An extended flap of leather protects you from the hot bottle on the back of the cover. Please note - our hot water bottle covers are now tanned in chrome to heat protect the leather and have a pale blue leather inside.

Possum fibre has unique heating ability due to the hollow nature of the fur. This makes these covers all the more special because after the hot water cools, the hot water bottle cover still retains warmth against your body because of the heat trapped in the fibres of the fur. Please note that all our possum products are genuine so are subject to natural defects such as re-growth.

These have been crafted around a standard sized hot water bottle. It is recommended to leave the bottle inside the cover when filling. 

Inspired by: A note from the designer; These possum fur hot water bottle covers were inspired from childhood memories of cold winter nights and snuggling into bed with a hottie. Growing up, my sisters and I had these hot water bottle covers that were all individual so we knew who’s was who’s. I had a faux fur pink pig and always loved how it would be warm fluff against me when the water bottle was hot. I wanted to capture that furry feeling but improve it while still keeping the design traditional. Possum fur allowed me to make improvement because of the unique heat qualities the hollow fibre has.
